No Starving Artists Here!

There is a huge stigma on almost anyone who works in a creative industry, particularly if they freelance, or work for themselves.  Fortunately, this stigma is often far from the truth.  Take the case of graphic artists — although one might think of them as starving artists, exactly the opposite is often the case.

Think about it.  In our world, graphic art has become almost a necessity.  Company logos, mailings, advertisements, newsletters, websites, etc. all require graphics.  Some companies hire graphic artists on as full-time employees, while others hire their services on a freelance basis only.  The possibilities are endless.

To take advantage of this lucrative industry, you are best off having a degree in graphic design.  There are many schools that offer programs in graphic design, such as Collins College.  Some programs are even accelerated, to help you get out of school and into your career as quickly as possible.

Remember — as a graphic artist, there are almost infinite job opportunities, so really the only things limiting your success are your own ambition and work habits.
